Whats your favourite cheat food & why? Cheat food??? Not really a fan of the saying actually. Makes it feel naughty or forbidden. Haha. My favourite food in “moderation” (even that sounds a bit serious) would be whittakers chocolate (anything with nuts) or something like Thai food or Japanese. If I’m really going to town then it might be McDonalds and I have a very particular order!! One of those annoying people that asks for extra pickle and extra mayo and don’t even try and offer me a chicken nugget unless its covered in sweet and sour sauce 😀
How did you fall in love with fitness? At the age of 24 I became a Mum…… a solo mum. This journey lead me to doing the group fitness classes at the local gym purely for my mental health and sanity, the “feel good factor” got me hooked so much so that I was inspired to get into the fitness industry myself as I wanted the to be able to help others discover this incredibly accessible tool. Why do you do what you do as a Boot Camp Instructor? I have always been drawn to working with people and also anything to do with health and wellness. It ticks a lot of boxes. I love showing people it doesn’t have to be all hard work and struggle. There is so much pay off for the client and the coach.
Whats your favourite kind of exercise? I really enjoy a variety of exercise, from high intensity & strength training to yoga/pilates and everything in between…… especially when there is music!!
What would be some encouraging words you’d tell someone who wants to start their own fitness journey but is a little worried? It doesn’t matter where you are at when you start, JUST DO IT. No one judges you if you are out of shape or less capable, they do notice that you showing up to training and giving it your best and that is inspiring to them. Do what makes you happy so you can sustain it.
